How often do you invest in yourself?

For many women in business and leadership, learning tends to sit in the category of “important, but later”. We tell ourselves we’ll start that course next month, listen to that podcast after the next deadline, or attend that webinar when things calm down. Yet business rarely slows down. Markets shift, technology evolves, customer expectations change and new opportunities appear quickly.

The women who continue to grow are often the women who continue to learn.

At Women’s Network Australia, Lifelong Learning is one of our core pillars because learning is not something that ends with a qualification, a promotion or years of experience. It is an ongoing commitment to remaining curious, adaptable and open to new ideas. In today’s environment, standing still can sometimes feel like moving backwards.

Learning also does not always look like a classroom or textbook. Sometimes it is a conversation with a mentor. Sometimes it is hearing another woman’s story. Sometimes it is gaining one practical insight that changes the way you think about your business, career or future direction.

That is why WNA is excited to launch our very first 2026 Winter Webinar Presentation with WNA Advisor Joanne Brooks.

Joanne has achieved so much throughout her career, but one thing she has never done is stop learning. Her journey is a reminder that growth often comes from staying open to new possibilities, even when life and business are already busy and demanding.

In this session, Joanne will share her story, the lessons she has gathered along the way and the learning opportunity that changed everything for her, and could potentially do the same for others.

We’re also delighted to be partnering with Ducere Global Business School to bring members access to opportunities that many networks simply cannot offer.

Along with hearing Joanne’s insights, this is also a chance to connect with like-minded women, meet one of our incredible WNA Advisors and hear more about what’s ahead for Women’s Network Australia.

This week’s action: Ask yourself one question, “What am I learning right now?”

If you do not have an answer, perhaps this is the perfect place to begin.

Warm regards,

Cheryl Gray
