There is something incredibly powerful about being in a room filled with women who are chasing their dreams, pursuing their education and taking the next step towards the future they want to create.
This Saturday, WNA General Manager Bec McCoan and I will have the privilege of attending the National Council of Women of Queensland Bursary Presentation Ceremony at The Women’s College, The University of Queensland, where WNA’s second Women in Business Bursary will be awarded.
Presented alongside more than 30 other bursaries, the event celebrates women from diverse backgrounds, industries and fields of study who all share something important: ambition, determination and the courage to keep learning.
At Women’s Network Australia, we know education doesn’t stop when you finish school, complete a qualification or launch a business. Lifelong learning is one of WNA’s key pillars because every stage of business and life brings new challenges, new opportunities and new skills to master.
For more than three decades, WNA has supported women to connect, learn and grow. We have seen first-hand that sometimes the greatest difference comes from knowing there is a community standing behind you, encouraging you to take that next step.
The Women in Business Bursary is our way of helping open that next door. It reflects our belief that investing in women’s education and capability helps create stronger businesses, communities and futures.
Bec and I are especially looking forward to meeting our 2026 bursary recipient, hearing more about her ambitions and sharing her story with our WNA community very soon.
Stay tuned, we can’t wait to introduce you to another inspiring woman building her future.
Because when women support women, extraordinary things happen.
