How did you celebrate International Women's Day on Sunday 8 March?
Every year, International Women's Day invites us to reflect on progress, recognise challenges and celebrate the remarkable contribution of women in every sphere of life.
This year, I’d like to do something a little different. Instead of offering advice, insights or strategies, I want to hear from you.
International Women’s Day means something unique to every woman. For some, it is a moment to celebrate milestones achieved through persistence and courage. For others, it is a quiet reminder of battles fought behind the scenes — the balancing act of leadership and caregiving, the resilience required to navigate bias, or the determination to keep building a business despite setbacks.
I would love to know what this day represents in your life and career.
What are you most proud of?
What challenges have shaped you?
What lessons have strengthened your confidence or clarified your purpose?
Your stories matter. They remind other women that success is never a straight line. The struggles are shared more widely than we often realise, and progress takes many forms.
Women’s Network Australia has always been built on the power of shared experience. When one woman speaks honestly, others feel seen. When one woman celebrates a win, others feel inspired. And when we acknowledge the hard moments, we create space for real connection and support.
Email me directly at cheryl@womensnetwork.com.au and tell me what IWD means to you.
Selected reflections will be featured in an upcoming newsletter so we can honour the diverse journeys of women across our community.
I can’t wait to read your stories and celebrate the strength, ambition and resilience that define the WNA network.
